Meet SMU Senator Matthew Lucci

     "As the Chairman of the Student Center Governing Committee, I serve at the pleasure of the Student Body President. As Student Senator from the Lyle School of Engineering, I serve at the pleasure of my fellow engineering students."

      Born the second of seven children, Matthew Lucci grew up a small town about 35 miles southwest of downtown Dallas. He was homeschooled by his mother, who has a Texas teaching certification. He has always possessed a desire to serve others to the best of his abilities, and continues to do so at Southern Methodist University. He has been employed as a staff member in many departments on campus ranging from Teaching Assistant for the Physics Department to Guest Services Representative for the Bush Foundation, and much in between.

     He is now a Junior Mechanical Engineering major, with participation on many student governing boards, including an appointment to the Lyle School of Engineering Dean's Advisory Board. Drop-in office hours for Matthew Lucci are on Mondays from noon to 1pm.
