The SMU student body contains many individuals who have served our nation through the United States Armed Forces. These students face many unique challenges while studying at SMU. It is the responsibility of the University and the Student Senate to honor their service to this country by helping to guide these extraordinary students through the many cumbersome processes that they are required to complete prior to and while they take classes here.
As a Student Senator, and a citizen of this great nation, I am committed to providing support for SMU Veterans in any way that I possibly can. The SMU Student Senate is currently working with university administration to provide Military Veteran Students with a Military Affairs Officer to aid them through the many challenges that they face during and after their transition into student life. There will be more information to come over the course of the Fall 2016 semester.
